Hotel/Office

The Hadley Redevelopment offers an 88,000
square foot, 150-room
hotel and 84,000 square foot
office building. Organized about a central access drive and shared
auto court and parking area, both structures are planned to be mid-rise,
four- or five-story buildings and will occupy one of the most visible sites
in the entire metropolitan area. The architectural look of the buildings,
while unique, will borrow selectively from the palette of building materials
used in the residential and retail components of the development—featuring
rich red-toned brick, bands of tan colored limestone copings, tastefully
colored cement stucco, “curtain walls” of colored metal frames and glass,
and colored standing seam metal roof elements. The hotel front
continues the architectural edge established
by the retail buildings along Hanley and creates a “gateway”
to Richmond Heights at Dale Avenue. To the east, the
office building overlooks a landscaped water feature, The Heights recreation
complex, and the St. Louis skyline.
